Animal Activists Target Los Angeles Company Supporting Animal Experimentation
Hubnet Express Gets New Paint Job, Carpet Courtesy of Animal Liberation Front
Los Angeles: In an anonymous communique received by the North American Animal Liberation Press Office, activists have claimed an attack on Hubnet Express, a Los Angeles company providing services to infamous contract animal-testing company Huntingdon Life Sciences(HLS). The Animal Liberation Front states it spray painted company buildings and doused carpets with red dye to symbolize the blood of animals killed in HLS laboratories.
Huntingdon Life Sciences has been exposed in five separate undercover investigations abusing animals and killing 500 per day testing such products as oven cleaners and pesticides. Before losing their NYSE listing in September, the company had lost their listing on the London Stock Exchange over four years ago, after a sustained campaign by activists who exposed atrocities occurring inside HLS facilities.
The communique reads, in part:
Last night a friend of Huntington Life Sciences, Hubnet Express at 1014 Hillcrest Blvd. in Inglewood, CA was payed a little visit. Hubnet Express is long standing client of HLS who use their services to ship samples and other supplies used in the torture and abuse of animals that HLS is notorious for. Hubnet, we don’t want to come back but we will if we have too. Cut those ties. In solidarity with direct action worldwide, ALF
