With mink being too young to be released, we decided that taking away and smashing the transport cages the farmer will use to separate mothers from babies was a good idea, so after lurking around a farm for a little while, we found an enormous pile of them and trashed them.
We want to make a call to action with this: wherever you are, if there are fur farms in your vicinity, get active! Release times begin end of July to ensure the youngest mink have a good chance at running away, but if you don’t want to wait, go bother your local fur farmer!
