ONTARIO, CA (WIVB) – The man behind a major Niagara Falls tourist destination died on Saturday.John Holer founded Marineland in Niagara Falls, Canada in 1961. Since then, the park has transformed in size. Marineland has faced criticism from animal rights groups in recent years.
According to a lawyer for the park, Andrew Burns, Holer died peacefully at home, comforted by his wife and son. Holer was 83.
