On November 15th I visited two fur farms. At the first I spent 20 minutes or so taking down a few hundred feet of fencing before heading in to get to the prisoners. I noticed it was suspiciously quiet and soon, to my delight, discovered that the farm had been completely shut down, no empty cages or anything, Just empty sheds and two goats wandering the fields. On my way out I noticed a shed on the property next to a small private lake and decided to check it out. I shone my light on the wall and saw a sign that read “Papa’s fishin’ shed.” Well I figured I’d put my bolt cutters to good use climbed into the window then cut all ten or so fishing rods in half and left them in a pile on the floor. I also took the tackle box and backpack full of tackle and through them into the woods on my hike back to the car. Hopefully I put a damper on their murderous “hobby.”
Having some night time left and knowing there was another fur farm a short drive away I decided to give that one a go. I stepped over the very short fence and went into the farthest shed from the house. It was full of empty cages, I missed the window before they were murdered. I walked through to see of there were even any breeders left but found nothing and went home.
The main reason I am sharing this report is to encourage others to visit fur farms. I have no doubt in my mind that had there been prisoners at either of these places I would have been able to free them all with ease. I am in no way trained or even skilled at sneaking around. At the first farm I lost a tool in the woods on my way there and had to keep my red light on for 10 minutes wandering around looking for it. I also ran into a very loud fence when I was at the closest part of the closest barn to the house and there wasn’t even a stir in the house, not to mention tearing down a ton of fencing, again without anyone coming to check what’s going on. The second farm I visited is owned by a member of the fur commision and has been raided before. Still there was no alarm, no blue and red lights coming to arrest me. I also did it all by myself. You don’t even need trusted friends to go to a fur farm. All you need is some bolt cutters, a flashlight, dark clothes, a tank of gas, and a bit of creativity. Seeing one of these prisons shut down was a beatiful sight, lets go out and make them all look like that!
