Facing a 100% chance of death after being cruelly experimented on, 40 monkeys said fuck-not and escaped their captors into the forest surrounding Alpha Genesis breeding facility outside Yemassee, South Carolina. Law enforcement and prison guards are frantically searching for the escapees, who will undoubtedly be put to death if re-captured.
5000 other monkeys live nearby on Morgan Island. Of another 5000 held in captivity at the Alpha Genesis facility, many die there in captivity and loneliness even before they can be sold to vivisectors, who will ultimately torture and mutilate them before killing them. None will get out alive.
There were previous escapes from this facility in 2016 (19 escapees) and 2014 (26 escapees). No communique has been received by the Animal Liberation Press Office thus far claiming credit for freeing the prisoners, who may well have orchestrated it on their own.
President and CEO of Alpha Genesis is Dr. Greg Westergaard, who is quick to assert that none of the escapees is infected with any disease. Not yet.
