“Every year about a million pheasants are bred in captivity in Denmark and released into the wild, so that insecure men, who like to kill innocent beings, can go out and shoot them for fun.
14 pheasants was taken from one of these farms a few days before they would be released, and moved to a different forest, where hunting isn’t allowed. We know of the problems with releasing animals bred in captivity into the wild, but these pheasants would be released either way. The main difference is that now they were released into a forest where humans aren’t allowed to shoot them, instead of being released on “hunting grounds”
