We’re happy to confirm the closure of the Kavan Ranch in Le Center, Minnesota. The mink sheds and fox cages in the bottom photo (taken a few years ago), are gone in the top photo taken last month.
The Kavan Ranch bred and killed mink and fox for decades. The fur farm is also notable as the place where Carole Baskin (of #tigerking fame) purchased bobcats and lynx at the beginning of Big Cat Rescue sanctuary. According to Carole, the farm promised to stop breeding wild cats as part of the purchase agreement.”
