Hey all!
As many of you may be aware, Asheville is going to have its FIRST EVER Anarchist Bookfaire this year. The dates, which have undergone a series of changes and will undergo no more, are from MAY 5-7th.
The lineup of events is shaping up to be really exciting, with some really fun events being planned like a show, a dance party, a swimming excursion, an urban plant walk, and of course, workshops.
We wanted to put a call out to the community here to see if you or people you know would be interested in holding a workshop for this event! Or on the flipside, if you have any connections to authors, speakers, or thinkers that you would like to see at the faire, holler at us for sure.
Some suggested topics to get the wheels spinning for workshops include (but do not limit to):
– activism for folks who experience chronic illness
– decolonization
– diy healthcare
– staving off burnout
Alternatively, if you are in a group around town that would like to present on any activities or projects that would be super rad!
