Animal Liberation Press Officer Goes Head-to-Head with Fox News Host
John Kasich
Dr. Jerry Vlasak, one of three Press Officers with the North American Animal Liberation Press Office (NAALPO), was interviewed this past Saturday on the Fox News show, “Heartland.” The three-minute, contentious piece can now be viewed here. Host John Kasich is a former congressman from the great state of Ohio.
The Press Office has taken a lot of heat for stating publicly what thousands of animal rights activists worldwide have been discussing privately for years–that violence would be morally justified in defense of animals who are being tortured, abused, exploited, and murdered against their wills.
Lindy Greene, a fifty-eight-year-old teacher and one of the newest Press Officers, states, “These discussions–with regard to the moral justification and effectiveness of the same tactics employed for centuries in every other social justice movement–have been held for years. All we are saying publicly is that the atrocities committed against innocent animals should be deemed as serious as those perpetrated against humans.”
The North American Animal Liberation Press Office exists to provide the media with a historical, philosophical, and truthful perspective on the struggle for animal liberation in the 21st Century; the Press Office also receives anonymous communiques from those who engage in all types of illegal direct action on behalf of animals.
Dr. Vlasak concludes, “It is long past time for the Animal Liberation Press Office, and the animal liberation community to which it belongs, to unflinchingly support the currently intensifying endeavor to dismantle the paradigm which deems “speciesism” acceptable in the 21st Century.”
