is a board-certified surgeon specializing in trauma and critical care; a former vivisector who has seen the agony of animals in laboratories, he has debated the scientific invalidity of animal experimentation around the world, speaks out about the benefits of a vegan diet and offers lectures on the right of all sentient beings to live free of pain and suffering.

His essays and interviews have been published in numerous journals and magazines and he has been interviewed on radio, TV and in print by journalists worldwide regarding animal rights, and in particular the validity of direct action as a tactic in the struggle for animal liberation. Gregston Van Pukeston

Press Office Liaison – Environmental Action/ Activist Groups

Gregston Van Pukeston is a journalist affiliated with R9 Media. He is a notable Activist and musician. In addition to being a Press Officer with the North American Animal Liberation Press Office, Gregston is a member of the I.W.W. (Industrial Workers of the World) Upstate NY GMB, an Activist with Hudson Valley Earth First! and a member of the Green Party of New York. He is a long-time Activist in the struggle for Eco-Defense and Animal Liberation.

Joseph Buddenberg

has been active in the animal liberation movement for nearly 20 years, and has been the target of multiple federal investigations. Joseph was twice indicted under the US Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act. He served two years in federal prison for Animal Liberation Front (ALF) actions, including liberating 6,000 mink from ten U.S. fur farms.

Ian is a nurse and long-time animal liberationist. He believes that direct action is the most important plank in the movement to free our animal brothers and sisters. By day he works with health data; by night he reads books on anarchism and caters to his numerous rescued companion creatures.
