Executive’s Home, Cars Vandalized; Supplier to Notorious Animal Testing Laboratory
Huntingdon Life Sciences Supplier Moravek Biochemicals Is Targeted
Orange County, CA: In an anonymous communique received by the North American Animal Liberation Press Office, the Animal Liberation Front claims to have ruined the paint jobs on an executive’s luxury automobile and home in retaliation for his company’s role in supporting animal testing. Paul Moravek, of Fullerton, is owner of Moravek Biochemicals, a known supplier of notorious contract animal testing company Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS), Europe’s largest such company.
Huntingdon Life Sciences has been under increased attack lately, with product-tampering episodes costing companies dealing with HLS millions of dollars in damages in the last month alone. Thousands of tubes and bottles of Savlon anti-septic were been pulled off store shelves in the UK last month, not long after a similar episode in France concerning tainted contact lens solution. All targeted companies were customers of Huntingdon Life Sciences, which has pressured UK authorities to arrest a number of animal rights activists there on trumped up charges in retaliation.
Huntingdon Life Sciences has been exposed in five consecutive undercover investigations abusing animals, violating animal welfare regulations and killing 500 dogs, primates and other animals every day testing such products as oven cleaners and pesticides. Before losing their NYSE listing two years ago, the company had lost their listing on the London Stock Exchange, after a sustained campaign by activists who exposed atrocities occurring inside HLS facilities.
The communique reads in part:
“For your support of H.L.S. Moravek, you were rewarded with a visit from the animal liberation front. Next time you cash an H.L.S. check remember that your gated neighborhood isn’t very secure. Remember that we stood in your driveway and watched the flickering blue light from your t.v. Remember that we are capable of doing so much more. Tonight we used restraint that we are not convinced you deserve. Drop H.L.S. or there will be a next time.
