Frank Ambrose of Manassas, VA is arguably one of the most high profile snitches in earth and animal liberation movement history. Super-snitch Ambrose snitched on his then-spouse Marius Mason and others, closing the investigation into a series of unsolved ALF and ELF actions in Michigan and Indiana.
Marius was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison. He served his time in federal prison and was released yesterday.
Ambrose was sentenced to nine years after his cooperation and 5K1 plea agreement. He continued to cooperate with federal prosecutors, provided Rule 35 “substantial assistance,” and his nine-year sentence was reduced to 5 years and 10 months.
According to prosecutors, Ambrose snitched on his spouse and secretly recorded conversations at gatherings of radical environmental groups. His attorneys made five sealed filings in the case documenting his cooperation.
The prosecutor at the time called his assistance “nothing short of remarkable.”
Frank’s father, Frank Sr., owns Modern Hardwood Floor Service in Manassas, VA.
