Employees were able to salvage some of the business&#8217; meat,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wxyz.com\/news\/large-fire-breaks-out-at-country-smoke-house\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-track-label=\"inline|intext|n\/a\">Channel 7 WXYZ reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">Smoke House owner Steve Francis told WWJ that on top of losing his business of nearly\u00a030 years, he\u00a0had a heart attack and lost his father in the last two weeks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">The facility&#8217;s destruction also comes just as Michigan&#8217;s deer hunting season is opening.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Press Office note: There has been no claim for this action as of this posting.] Emma Keith, Detroit Free Press Michigan&#8217;s largest deer processing facility was severely damaged in a large fire early Friday morning.
