One person was also charged with assaulting the owner and employee of the poultry farm.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fdirectactioneverywhere%2Fvideos%2F252598352120205%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=476\" width=\"476\" height=\"476\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The activists belong\u00a0to the animal rights group Direct Action Everywhere, whose participants staged and a 500-person rally across from a farm in May,\u00a0according to\u00a0<em>The Press Democrat.\u00a0<\/em>Members of the group have also recently\u00a0taken piglets from a Utah farm, interrupted diners at restaurants and protested a butcher shop, the\u00a0<em>San Francisco Chronicle<\/em>\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n<p>They &#8220;brought a medical tent, under which they brought some birds found in a large shed, saying they needed medical care for conditions such as dehydration, broken limbs from being trampled and ammonia burns from standing in waste,&#8221; according to CBS San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We believe we have the legal right to rescue animals and get them the medical care they deserve,&#8221; event organizer\u00a0Wayne Hsiung said.
