Sven and Natasha liberated!<\/p>\n

In one of the past nights Active for Justice went to a chicken farm and\u00a0rescued 26 chickens! This action is dedicated to our dear comrade in jail; Sven.<\/p>\n

Somewhere in the Netherlands, in the darkest hours of the night, we\u00a0gathered up near a chicken farm. Carefully moving forward, there were wild\u00a0animals all around. Guided by their sounds and movement we approached our
\ntarget. At the farm they probably saw us passing the bins with dead and\u00a0decaying chickens and disappearing in the stables. Here, we were greeted by\u00a0a view that could have been taken right out of a horror movie. Huge amounts
\nof these intelligent birds all crammed into little cages, row upon row as\u00a0far as the eye can see. Living in their own filth with metal bars all\u00a0around them producing egg after egg. If hell exists, we entered it right\u00a0now…<\/p>\n

A cage-door opens while many eyes look terrified in our direction.
\nCarefully the chicken (who we named Sven, although she is a girl) is
\nlifted out and she could feel the warmth of our bodies touching. For the
\nfirst time in her life she is greeted with love, with a feeling that she
\nt\u00f3\u00f3 matters. The chicken who we named Natasha came out of a different cage
\nand she was met with a gentleness and love that she will have never thought
\nwas possible from a human being. it\u2019s all we can do for the others that we
\nhave to leave behind, give them a little bit more space to move around.
\nSorry girls, we wish we could have taken all of you. We will never forget
\nyou and we will grieve the day you die\u2026 May your rest and peace come soon
\nand without pain.<\/p>\n

While we moved outside and let our 26 new friends taste the fresh air for
\nthe first time in their lives we can\u2019t help but think about this fucked up
\nsystem that is destroying so many lives every day. All we can do is fight
\nit as hard as we all can! More and more people are standing up to resist
\nand we will be no exceptions. Our struggle goes on until every cage is
\nempty and until every slaughterhouse has been closed down. So pardon us for
\nsmiling when their oppressive system comes crumbling down, we know that
\nfrom the ashes we can build a new society based on equality and freedom;
\nthe aim is nothing less than a vegan society!<\/p>\n

Sven and Natasha; stay strong during these times! Without you being who you
\nare these girls would have never gotten away from their prison. They will
\nlive their lives in as much freedom as possible, with a lot of grass and
\nmud to roam around on. We hope that Sven (the human one ;-)) will get out
\nof his cell as soon as possible and we call upon all people to show Sven
\nall the support he can possibly get!<\/p>\n

In een van de afgelopen nachten is Active for Justice naar een
\nkippenboerderij geweest en heeft daar 26 kippen gered! Deze actie is
\nopgedragen aan onze dierbare kameraad in de gevangenis; Sven.<\/p>\n

Ergens in Nederland, in de donkerste uren van de nacht, verzamelden we ons
\nbij een kippenboerderij. Voorzichtig voorwaarts, zijn we omsingeld door
\nwilde dieren. Leidend door hun geluiden en bewegingen naderen we ons doel.
\nOp het terrein hebben zij ons waarschijnlijk de vuilnisbakken zien passeren
\n(met daarin stapels van dode en ontbindende kippen) en ons in de stallen
\nzien verdwijnen. Hier worden we begroet met een zicht dat regelrecht uit
\neen horrorfilm zou kunnen komen. Talloze intelligente vogels opeengepakt in
\nkleine kooien, rij op rij zover als het oog kan zien. Levend in hun eigen
\nvuil met tralies overal om zich heen terwijl ze ei na ei moeten produceren.
\nAls de hel zou bestaan, waren we er nu terecht gekomen\u2026<\/p>\n

Een kooi gaat open terwijl vele ogen angstig in onze richting kijken.
\nVoorzichtig tilt iemand de eerste kip (die we Sven hebben genoemd, ook al
\nis het een dame ) eruit en ze kan de warmte voelen wanneer onze
\nlichamen elkaar raken. Voor het eerst in haar leven is ze begroet met
\nliefde, met een gevoel dat \u00f3\u00f3k zij ertoe doet. De kip die we Natasha hebben
\ngenoemd kwam uit een andere kooi en zij werd omhelst met een zachtheid en
\nliefde die ze waarschijnlijk nooit voor mogelijk hield van een mens. Dit is
\nalles wat we kunnen doen voor degenen die we achter moeten laten, hen een
\nbeetje meer ruimte geven om te kunnen bewegen. Sorry meiden, konden we
\njullie maar allemaal meenemen. We zullen jullie nooit vergeten en we
\ntreuren de dag dat jullie sterven\u2026 Moge jullie rust en vrede snel en zonder
\npijn komen.<\/p>\n

Terwijl we buiten komen en we onze 26 nieuwe vriendinnen voor het eerst in
\nhun leven de verse lucht laten proeven kunnen we het niet helpen om te
\ndenken wat een verrot systeem dit is, dat dagelijks zoveel levens verwoest.
\nAl wat we kunnen doen is het samen zo hard mogelijk bestrijden! Meer en
\nmeer mensen staan op om zich te verzetten en wij zullen geen uitzonderingen
\nzijn. Onze strijd gaat door tot de laatste kooi leeg is en totdat elk
\nslachthuis gesloten is. Dus vergeef ons voor onze glimlach op de dag dat
\nhun onderdrukkend systeem ineen stort. Wij weten dat we vanuit de as een
\nnieuwe samenleving kunnen opbouwen gebaseerd op gelijkheid en vrijheid; het
\ndoel is niets minder dan een veganistische samenleving!<\/p>\n

Sven en Natasha; blijf sterk gedurende deze tijden! Zonder jullie zouden
\ndeze meiden nooit uit hun gevangenis zijn geraakt. Zij zullen hun leven in
\nzoveel mogelijk vrijheid doorbrengen, met veel gras en grond om van te
\ngenieten. We hopen dat Sven (het menselijk individu ) zo snel mogelijk
\nuit zijn cel zal geraken en we roepen iedereen op om Sven alle support te
\ntonen die hij mogelijk zou kunnen krijgen!<\/p>\n
