MARCO ISLAND, FL – <\/span>Animal activists are condemning vandalism at the house of Dr. Walter Palmer<\/a>, the man who killed Cecil the lion.<\/p>\n

The spray-painted phrase “Lion Killer!”\u00a0on Palmer\u2019s garage was still there a day after police first saw it.\u00a0The pigs\u00a0feet were removed but the animal crackers remained.<\/p>\n

In a tweet, the Marco Island Police Department wrote \u201cMIPD confirmed at\u00a011am\u00a0today that person’s unknown placed pickled pigs feet at the Palmer residence. investigation continues.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chuck Danielian was furious when he heard about Palmer\u2019s actions but says he would not vandalize someone\u2019s home. \u201cMy first reaction was I hope they trash it,\u201d Danielian said about Palmer\u2019s Marco Island home.\u00a0\u201cBut then you kind of you kind of cool off.\u201d<\/p>\n

Danielian organizes animal rights protests against the Naples-Fort Myers Greyhound Track. He says he always checks with the sheriff\u2019s department ahead of time to let them know what his plans are.\u00a0He says he would never take illegal action to get his point across. \u201cYou take the interest off of what has happened and onto the crime that’s taken place and you know you kind of wish that hadn’t happened,\u201d Danielian said.<\/p>\n

Jeanne Jain with the SW Florida Animal Advocates wrote \u201cAnimal rights advocates should not condone this destructive act. You can be an activist without being a terrorist.\u201d<\/p>\n

Danielian hopes cooler heads will prevail. \u201cWhen it comes to destruction of property you’ve crossed the line,\u201d Danielian said.<\/p>\n
