\"wildmink6\"<\/a>In a supposed protest against the selling of S.C. Johnson & Son’s Kiwi Mink Oil, unnamed animal rights activists are sabotaging products with cyanic acid, which is a colorless and poisonous liquid – intended to ruin the leather it is intended to treat.<\/p>\n

263 jars of Kiwi Mink Oil have been reported contaminated with cyanic acid. Walmart, CVS and Walgreens have suffered the strategic attacks, according to The Wall Street Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An S.C. Johnson spokeswoman states that the company “took action to remove all Kiwi Mink Oil products from retail shelves as a precautionary measure.” The FBI has begun an investigation into the matter.<\/p>\n

The Wall Street Journal<\/a>also quotes some of the radical activists. \u201cThose who use this product will not die like the animals caged on fur farms,\u201d the activists wrote. \u201cThe cyanic acid will cause a severe burn and eat through the leather products it is applied to.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to their website<\/a>, S.C. Johnson’s Kiwi Mink Oil is intended for use on old, stiff boots or shoes, in an effort to condition, waterproof and restore natural oils to the leather of the shoes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
