Ryan Easley, who built his career on exploiting tigers, was killed on September 20, 2025. He acquired tigers from notorious figures in Tiger King, Joe Exotic and Doc Antle, who were known for their own widespread mistreatment of big cats. In 2017, Easley was caught violently whipping a tiger 31 times during training. The animals he caged were denied natural lives, hauled around in circuses, and left to languish in roadside zoos \u2014 places that are clearly dangerous for both humans and other animals.<\/p>\n

The surviving tigers must be given a true retirement at an accredited sanctuary where they can finally live in peace!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

Tiger handler Ryan Easley was fatally mauled in an accident involving a tiger he cared for at an Oklahoma preserve, the wildlife refuge said.<\/p>\n

The attack occurred Saturday at Growler Pines Tiger Preserve in Hugo.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis tragedy is a painful reminder of both the beauty and unpredictability of the natural world,\u201d the preserve\u00a0said on Facebook<\/a>. \u201cRyan understood those risks \u2014 not out of recklessness but out of love. The animals under his care were not just animals to him, but beings he formed a connection with \u2014 one rooted in respect, daily care and love.\u201d<\/p>\n

The preserve remembered him as a \u201cpassionate advocate for wildlife conservation,\u201d who especially loved big cats and dedicated his life to the care of animals.<\/p>\n
