The farmer had no intention of treating her\u2014doing so would cost money. Instead, he chose to leave her in pain, hoping she would survive long enough for her lamb to reach slaughter weight in time for the Easter market.<\/p>\n<p>We weren\u2019t going to stand by and watch that happen. So we acted. We crossed the fences, entered the field, and carried the mother and her baby to safety\u2014where they\u2019ll be given the love and care they deserve.<\/p>\n<p>Every year, hundreds of thousands of lambs are killed for Easter in the UK. One of the most violent ways to celebrate a holiday supposedly rooted in peace and renewal.
