{"id":1330,"date":"2010-04-23T10:31:59","date_gmt":"2010-04-23T18:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/animalliberationpressoffice.org\/NAALPO\/?p=1330"},"modified":"2012-09-18T10:36:50","modified_gmt":"2012-09-18T18:36:50","slug":"vivisection-lab-painted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/animalliberationpressoffice.org\/NAALPO\/2010\/04\/23\/vivisection-lab-painted\/","title":{"rendered":"Vivisection Lab Painted"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"left\"><strong><strong>Communiqu\u00e9 from Unknown Activists <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Date: <\/strong><strong>April 23, 2010<br \/>\nInstitution Targeted: Mellon Institute<\/strong> <\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Received anonymously:<\/p>\n<p>Pittsburgh, PA, USA<\/p>\n<p>In honor of World Week for Animals in Laboratories, folks decided that the labs hidden behind fancy names and large buildings in the city needed a more visibility.<\/p>\n<p>One building, Mellon Institute in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh, contains multiple animal testing facilities inside.<\/p>\n<p>Large tagging stickers with &#8216;Animal Research Torture Happens Here&#8217; and &#8216;Animal Research Torture Facility&#8217; written on them with the word &#8216;Research&#8217; scratched out were placed on the sign on the front of the building and on posts around the building.<\/p>\n<p>On the rear side of the building, &#8216;Animals Die Here&#8217; was painted on the side that faces the street.<\/p>\n<p>There are several other animal torture facilities in the area. This is but one that hides behind the facade of being a welcoming historical landmark or university building.
